Sturridge Nets Double As Liverpool Beat Villa

English Premier League
Result: Liverpool 3-2 Aston Villa
Date: 26 September 2015
Venue: Anfield
Liverpool edged out Aston Villa 3-2 after a goal frenzy at Anfield in their English Premier League clash on Saturday.
The Reds were out of the gates in a hurry as they opened the scoring in only the second minute. Coutinho beat Westwood and played in James Milner who placed his shot into the bottom corner of the travelers' goal.
The crowd had to wait until the 59th minute for the next goal, but that seemed to open up the game. Daniel Sturridge was the man who doubled the lead after Milner turned provider with a great pass over the top.
A flurry of goals would follow just past the hour mark. Villa pulled a goal back in the 66th minute as Hutton crossed for Rudy Gestede at the far post where he directed it home.
Sturridge popped up only a minute later to restore his side's two-goal cushion. A clever one-two with Coutinho resulted in the English striker sweeping the ball past Guzan.
The frenzied Anfield fans were silenced somewhat in the 71st minute as Gestede netted his second to pull the Villans back within a goal of their hosts. Gestede rose high at the far post to head home Amavi's cross.
