Arsenal remain winless in the Premier League, after they played out a goalless draw with champions Leicester City on Saturday evening
Laurent Koscielny made a return to the Gunners line-up, while Granit Xhaka made his first start since joining in the off-season.
After a cagey opening spell, the first save of the half arrived after 30 minutes when Kasper Schmeichel produced a fine save to keep out Santi Cazorla's free-kick, which look destined for the far corner.
The game opened up in the final five minutes of the half, with Arsenal looking lively with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Alexis Sanchez.
Nonetheless, the score remained level at 0-0 as the sides entered the halftime break.
The Premier League champions were dealt a blow after 53 minutes when Nampalys Mendy was forced off due to injury. He was replaced by Andy King.
The Foxes should have taken the lead after 69 minutes when Jamie Vardy was let through on goal, however the England international blazed his effort horribly wide.
Arsene Wenger opted to make a double change with 20 minutes remaining, as he introduced Jack Wilshere and Mesut Ozil.
Leicester nearly snatched the win in stoppage time, but Petr Cech produced a fine save to deny Riyad Mahrez from close range, as both sides settled for a point.
