Aaron Ramsey netted a hat-trick while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored on debut, as Arsenal thrashed Everton 5-1 at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners broke the deadlock after just six minutes, when Ramsey finished off a superb passing move with a close range finish.
The lead was doubled on 14 minutes, as Laurent Koscielny got on the end of Shkodran Mustafi's flick to head home from close range.
Six minutes later, Ramsey bagged his second and Arsenal's third with a deflected strike from 20-yards out.
Aubameyang marked his debut with a goal, as the Gabon international latched onto a pass from Henrikh Mkhitaryan, before chipping the ball over Jordan Pickford.
After a quiet start to the half, Everton pulled a goal back, when Dominic Calvert-Lewin headed at the far post in the 64th minute.
Ramsey completed his hat-trick with 15 minutes remaining with a neat finish from close range, 5-1.
That proved to be the final piece of action in the half as the Gunners ran out convincing winners on the day.
