English Premier League
Result: Chelsea 1-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers
Date: 10 March 2019
Venue: Stamford Bridge
Chelsea's top-four hopes took a dent after failing to secure maximum points against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge.
David Luiz, Kovacic and Pedro all returned to the Blues line-up after missing the UEFA Europa League win on Thursday evening.
Despite dominating all the possession in the early stages, Chelsea had to wait until the 19th minute for their first real opening as Gonzalo Higuain forced Rui Patrico into a save at the near post.
Wolves, meanwhile, struggled to get the ball off the home side in the first half, which led to a lack of chances in the Chelsea box.
That proved to be the trend for the rest of the half as neither side could carve out another clear-cut opening, much to the displeasure of the supporters.
Stamford Bridge was stunned into silence 10 minutes into the second half as Diogo Jota dispossessed Antonio Rudiger before picking out the in-form Raul Jimenez to fire past Kepa Arrizabalaga with a deflected effort.
Maurizio Sarri responded with a double change moments later, with Mateo Kovacic and Pedro making way for Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The Blues threw bodies forward in search of equaliser as the second half winded down, but they were finding it tough to breakdown Wolves, who were sat deep in their own half.
The equaliser eventually arrived in second-half stoppage time, with Hazard finding the back of the net with a superb invidvual effort to seal a point for the Blues.
