English Premier League
Result: Chelsea 4-3 Watford
Date: 15 May 2017
Venue: Stamford Bridge
Cesc Fabregas came off the bench to net a late winner, as Premier League champions Chelsea recorded a thrilling 4-3 win over Watford at Stamford Bridge.
Antonio Conte's charges enjoyed a lot of the possession in the opening exchanges but they struggled to carve out clear-cut openings.
The Blues eventually broke the deadlock after 22 minutes as John Terry pounced on loose ball in the box and poked home past Heurelho Gomes.
Two minutes later, Terry went from hero to villain when he's poor clearance allowed Etienne Capou to head home from close range.
However, Chelsea restored their lead in the 36th minute as Cesar Azpilicueta rifled the ball into the bottom corner rom the edge of the box, after Watford failed to deal with a corner.
The score remained 2-1 at the halftime break.
It didn't take the Blues too long to get a third goal as Kennedy's deflected pass found Nathan Ake, who teed up Michy Batshuayi for the simple tap-in the 49th minute.
The Hornets did pull another goal back just a minute later as Daryl Janmaat embarked on fine solo run before slotting into the far corner.
Watford introduced Stefano Okaka on 70 minutes and the Italian striker made the perfect impact three minutes later, as he out-muscled Ake before firing home from 12-yards out, 3-3.
Conte responded by introducing Fabregas and Pedro for the final 10 minutes as they pushed for a winning goal.
The substitution paid off as Fabregas restored Chelsea's lead in the 88th minute by firing into the bottom corner, after being teed up Willian.
Watford were reduced 10 men in stoppage time when Sebastian Prodl was sent off for a second bookable offence as Chelsea held on for the win.
