Eden Hazard and Diego Costa were among the goals as Chelsea recorded a 4-2 win over Southampton at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard and Costa started on the bench in the FA Cup win over Tottenham Hotspur but were restored to the line up.
The Blues went ahead after five minutes as Costa picked out Hazard, who fired home into the far corner.
The Saints eventually leveled matters in the 24th minute with their first meaningful effort of the half when Oriol Romeu slotted home from close range, after Thibaut Courtois saved Gabbiadini's strike.
The visitors went close to going ahead in the 42nd minute through Sofiane Boufal, but the Moroccan's strike sailed into the side-netting.
However, Chelsea restored their lead on the stroke of halftime thanks to a towering header from Gary Cahill, after Southampton failed to clear.
Antonio Conte's charges extended their lead in the 54th minute as Cesc Fabregas lifted the ball to the far post, where Costa was on hand to head home.
Southampton nearly reduced the deficit in the 69th minute but an un-marked Gabbiadini could fire into the side-netting at the far post.
Chelsea had a chance to add a fourth goal in the 81st minute when N'Golo Kante was played through on goal, however the Frenchman failed to beat Fraser Forster from close range.
However, Costa rounded off the scoring for Chelsea in the 89th minute as the striker calmly slotted home from close range , after an impressive passing move.
Southampton pulled another goal back in stoppage time, as former Chelsea defender Ryan Bertrand rose above Cahill to head into the far corner, 4-2.
