Chelsea have moved one step closer to securing the Premier League title, after they cruised to a 3-0 win over Middlesbrough at the Stamford Bridge.
The Blues nearly went ahead after just two minutes when Marcos Alonso rattled the upright with a strike from close range.
Chelsea eventually broke the deadlock after 23 minutes as Cesc Fabregas picked out Diego Costa, who controlled well before slotting between Brad Guzan's legs.
The lead was doubled in the 34th minute when Marcos Alonso fired home from a tight angle, after getting on the end of Cesar Azpilicueta's cross.
Antonio Conte's were in control for most of the opening stanza, while Middlesbrough were pegged back in their own half.
The Blues carved out a couple more chances in the closing stages with Victor Moses and Alonso going close, however the score remained 2-0 at the break.
Boro opted for a double change 10 minutes into the second half as Patrick Bamford and Grant Leadbitter replaced Adama Traore and Adam Forshaw.
The changes failed to make the desired effect, as Chelsea grabbed a third goal in the 65th minute as Nemanja Matic controlled well before firing through the legs of Guzan from close range.
With Chelsea comfortably leading, Conte introduced Nathan Chalobah for Pedro Rodriguez in the 80th minute, while Boro threw on Rudy Gustede.
Nonetheless, the Blues managed to see out the closing stages with relative ease, as they only need one more win to secure the title. While, Boro have been relegated to the Championship.
