Eden Hazard netted a brace to inspire Chelsea to a 4-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues were without the services of Alvaro Morata, Eden Hazard and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtoius.
Antonio Conte's charges broke the deadlock inside three minutes, when Victor Moses' deflected cross found Eden Hazard, who drilled the ball into the bottom corner.
Two minutes later, the visitors doubled their lead as a sublime passing move ended with Willian thumping the ball home from the edge of the box.
After a number of Chelsea attacks, Brighton went close to reducing the deficit in the 29th minute, but Willy Caballero produced a stunning reflex save to deny Tomer Hemed from close range.
The Premier League champions were in full control in the first half, but they could not add to their tally before the break.
Five minutes into the second half, Brighton went agonisingly close to pulling a goal back, when Pascal Gross's cross hit the woodwork.
The hosts showed a bit more fight in the second half, but the Blues bagged a third goal in the 77th minute, when Hazard completed his brace with a calm finish into the bottom corner.
Conte introduced Charley Musonda with 10 minutes remaining as the Blues looked to see out the rest of the game.
The visitors did bag a fourth goal in the 89th minute, as Musonda long pass found Moses, who controlled well and slotted into the bottom corner to round off a big win.
