English Premier League
Teams: Bournemouth 0-3 Liverpool
Date: 07 December 2019
Venue: Vitality Stadium
African stars Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita both bagged a goal and an assist as Liverpool cruised to a 3-0 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday evening.
Salah, Roberto Firmino and Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain were brought back into the side as Sadio Mane, Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri dropped to the bench.
The Reds dominated possession from the onset, although Bournemouth held out quite well until they lost the services of defender Nathan Ake, who was forced off with an injury.
Ake's absence was felt moments later as Jordan Henderson picked out Chamberlain, who slotted home the opening goal from close range.
Jurgen Klopp was forced into a change of his own minutes later as Trent Alexander-Arnold replaced central defender Dejan Lovren.
Despite the loss of Lovren, the visitors went on to bag the second goal just before the halftime break as Salah's neat back-heel set up Keita who made no mistake from close range.
Liverpool picked up from where they left off in the first, as Keita returned the favour for Salah, who raced clear to slot home the side's third goal on 54 minutes.
Unfortunately for the Cherries, it was one-way traffic for most of the half as Klopp's charges pushed for more goals as Salah and Alexander-Arnold went close to adding to the tally.
The Reds did carve out a couple half chances in the latter stages of the second of half, but Bournemouth were able stifle the opposition in the final third as the Premier League leaders ran out 3-0 winners on the day.
