Lacazette Nets Brace As Arsenal Return To Winning Ways

Alexandre Lacazette bagged a brace to inspire Arsenal to a 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion at the Emirates Stadium on Monday evening.
Alexis Sanchez returned to the starting line-up alongside Lacazette, while Alex Iwobi dropped to the bench.
West Brom nearly broke the deadlock after just seven minutes through Jay Rodriguez, whose low strike was deflected onto the upright by Arsenal goalkeeper, Petr Cech.
The Gunners struggled in the opening exchanges but they took the lead in the 19th minute when Lacazette headed home from close range after Sanchez's free-kick hit the crossbar.
The visitors did not sit back and they nearly leveled matters in the 37th minute but Nacho Monreal cleared Rodriguez's looping header off the line.
The score remained 1-0 to the home side at the halftime break.
After a quiet start to the second half, the Gunners were awarded a penalty in the 65th minute when Allan Nyom brought down Aaron Ramsey. Lacazette stepped up and made no mistake from the spot, 2-0.
West Brom responded with a change after 72 minutes as Tony Pulis introduced Matt Phillips for Nyom.
Lacazette was unable to complete his hat-trick as he was replaced by Olivier Giroud in the 81st minute.
Nevertheless, the Gunners managed to see out the closing stages with relative ease as the win sees move up to seventh spot, while remain in 12th.
