African Superstar Shines As Arsenal Clinch Derby Spoils

African superstar Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stole the show in the North London derby as Arsenal defeated Tottenham Hotspur 4-2 at the Emirates Stadium.
There was no place in the Gunners starting line for Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette, with the latter left out of the squad due to a back spasm.
The Gunners got off to a lively start and were awarded a penalty after nine when Jan Vertonghen handled in the box. Aubameyang stepped up and calmly slotted home.
Spurs managed to see a bit more of the ball as the half went on, and the were level in the 31st minute when Eric Dier nodded home Christian Eriksen's free-kick.
Spurs were then awarded a penalty two minutes later Son Heung-minwas brought down, allowing Harry Kane to step up and convert to put his side ahead.
Arsenal were left shell-shocked by the quick turnaround and were unable to claw there way back into the clash before the halftime break.
However, ten minutes into the second half the Gunners leveled matters as Aaron Ramsey latched onto Hector Bellerin's pass before picking out Aubameyang, who curled home a superb effort from the edge of the box.
The Gunners then took the lead in the 74th minute as substitute Lacazette's deflected effort found the bottom corner.
Three minutes later, the home side wrapped up the win as Aubameyang turned proved to play in Lucas Torreira, who calmly placed his effort into the corner.
It got worse for Spurs with five minutes as Vertonghen was sent off after picking up his second yellow card of the encounter.
That proved to be the final bit of action as the Gunners saw out the final stages with relative ease to leapfrog their cross-town rivals.
