Sanchez Brace Leads Arsenal To Victory Over Man Utd

English Premier League
Result: Arsenal 3-0 Manchester United
Date: 4 October 2015
Venue: Emirates Stadium
Arsenal clinched a convincing 3-0 win over Manchester United in their English Premier League clash on Sunday.
The Gunners opened the scoring in the sixth minute when Aaron Ramsey put Mesut Ozil through and the German picked out the onrushing Alexis Sanchez who scored at the near post with a delightful flick of the heel.
Moments later the hosts were two goals clear. Ozil and Theo Walcott linked up well as the latter set it up perfectly for his teammate to sidefoot a composed finish past David De Gea.
Arsene Wenger's charges were three goals clear in the 19th minute as Sanchez completed his brace. Walcott found the Chilean with a pass towards the left flank and the former Barcelona man cut in before smashing it home with his right boot.
The hosts should have been four goals to the good in the 33rd minute. Sanchez created the chance with a lovely pass over the top for an unmarked Ramsey, but his shot was sent just past the far post.
Anthony Martial had United's best chance of the first half shortly before the break when he beat Per Mertesacker and turned to shoot from close range only to be denied by Petr Cech's outstretched leg.
The second half was a much tamer affair with only a few half-chances created. Arsenal were content to sit back and play on the counter-attack, while United struggled to truly threaten Cech's goal.
