West Ham United star Dimitri Payet has revealed what he believes made FC Barcelona legend Ronaldinho such a great player during his prime.
The Frenchman, who has been a revelation for Slaven Bilic's side this season, has suggested that he models his game on the former Blaugrana star, believing the Brazilian contributed to his team's success while entertaining the crowd at the same time.
"I try and put on a show while being effective," he told the Sunday Times.
"The spectators come to be entertained by beautiful play.
"People say Ronaldinho enjoyed humiliating defenders, but he was always efficient.
"The reason I'm a fan of his is because he was able to put on a show while remaining effective and helping his team win."
Payet has certainly kept the West Ham faithful entertained this campaign, and has, at times, won games single-handedly for the London club.
The Frenchman has scored 11 goals and assisted a further 10 strikes in 29 matches in all competitions this season.
