Didier Drogba has sent a word of advice to Jose Mourinho after the Portuguese tactician was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur this week.
The African legend starred under Mourinho during their time together at Chelsea, in which they won eight trophies, but hung up his boots in 2017.
With the duo having seemingly maintained a good relationship, Drogba sent his former coach a message on Instagram after the latter was relieved of his duties by Spurs.
Mourinho had taken to the social media platform to post a video of himself surrounded by journalists wanting a comment on his sacking, in which he can be heard saying: "They don't give me privacy. Even my friend Gary, he is disturbing me. That's my life."
Having seen the video, Drogba opted to send his former coach a word of advice.
"Enjoy your life ze. Enjoy it," the Ivory Coast icon wrote.
Mourinho was sacked by Spurs on Monday following a string of poor results, and it remains to be seen which job he will take on next.
The Lilywhites have appointed Ryan Mason as interim head coach until the end of the season, with the 29-year-old becoming the youngest manager to win a Premier League match following his side's 2-1 victory over Southampton on Wednesday night.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, though, is now on the hunt for a long-term replacement for Mourinho, and the following nine names have been linked with the job.
