In the wake of Jose Mourinho's reported feud with Paul Pogba, a former Manchester United star has opened up about the relationship he had with Portuguese tactician during the two seasons he played under him.
Netherlands international Daley Blind, who joined the Red Devils from Ajax Amsterdam in 2014, ended his four-year stay with the club last month after seeing his game time dwindle under the Portuguese tactician.
The versatile star, who was sold back to his boyhood club, rather surprisingly had nothing but good things to say about his time under Mourinho, and is proud of what he achieved at Old Trafford.
"I learned a lot from him. He is a winner. And he can project that very well on a group," Blind said, as quoted by the Daily Express.
"I almost played 150 matches. I won four trophies at United. I had a very beautiful time. I had many nice moments there.
"I am very grateful to the fans. I worked very nicely with Mourinho."
The 28-year-old made 141 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring six goals and assisting a further 10 strikes.
