It's been almost 23 years since David Beckham signed for Manchester United, but he remembers that day like it was yesterday.
The former Red Devils No. 7 made his professional debut under Sir Alex Ferguson in 1994, and was asked by Manchester United TV if he remembers the day he signed for the club.
"I do," Beckham said. "I was in one of the corporate boxes with the manager. We had a nice dinner, then we went into his office.
"I remember having a blazer on with gold buttons and I'd been given a Man United tie at the time.
"It was actually my birthday, so we had a cake. There is a picture of me and the manager signing my papers."
Beckham will return to Old Trafford next month to captain a Great Britain and Ireland XI against a Rest of the World XI led by Zinedine Zidane in a charity match for UNICEF.
