Despite Philippe Coutinho having made his name with Liverpool, the Brazil star could reportedly join one of the Reds' fiercest rivals in a shock loan deal in a bid to save his career.
Coutinho spent five years at Anfield where he developed into one of Europe's foremost players, prompting FC Barcelona to fork out a reported £142 million (R3.3 billion) to secure his signature in 2018.
The Brazil international's move to Spain has not worked out, however, and he now finds himself fighting to save his career on loan at Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
Bayern are not expected to make Coutinho's deal permanent which has left the 27-year-old considering his options, one of which could be a shock move to Liverpool's neighbours and fiercest rivals, Everton.
That is according to Football Insider who claim that Barca have offered the former Inter Milan midfielder to the Blues on a loan deal, with the option to sign him permanently for as little as £80 million (R1.8 billion).
