Recent comments suggest Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his agent could be working on a move to Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker has recently indicated he would have liked to work longer with the Portuguese after they crossed paths for a short while at Inter Milan.
“We worked together for one year at Inter. The feeling was great between us and my only regret is that we were together for only one year,” Ibrahimovic revealed last week.
The Swede’s agent has also admitted his client’s career is far from over, and didn’t want to rule out an exit from PSG.
“His career could last another eight years. He’s in great shape,” Mino Raiola added.
“I don’t know if he’s going to stay at Paris Saint-Germain for eight years, but he can play until he’s 42-43 years old.”
Mourinho is well known for his preference of adding an experienced striker to his squad, having linked up with Samuel Eto’o last season and Didier Drogba this campaign.
It is yet to be seen whether Drogba will stay as a player at Stamford Bridge, and Ibrahimovic could perhaps look for a new challenge after spending three years at PSG.
Despite playing for eight different clubs throughout his career, the 33-year-old is yet to play in England and could possibly follow in the footsteps of Eto’o and Drogba to re-unite with Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho and Ibrahimovic will meet on opposite sides when Chelsea host PSG in the Champions League last-16 return leg tonight.
