Conte Defends Chelsea's Decision To Sell Salah

By SL International - Apr 29, 2018 12:31 PM

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has defended the Blues' decision to sell African superstar Mohamed Salah to AS Roma back in 2016.

The Egyptian winger joined the Blues from FC Basel in 2014, but failed to make any impact under Jose Mourinho.

Salah made just 15 appearances for the London out before sealing a move to the Serie A club three years ago.

The 25-year-old is now with Liverpool, where he has netted 42 goals across all competitions this season.

"It's not so simple. We have to compare Salah of four or five years ago, and not this Salah now," Conte was quoted as saying by FourFourTwo.

"Salah in the present has improved a lot, developed a lot his football. The experience in Italy was very important for him.

"Now I'm sure that he's a different player compared to in the past. For this reason, this comparison is very difficult with the players."

Salah, same as Kevin, who improved a lot in Germany. Can not blame Mou for letting them go and develop elsewhere. Pogba is in the same situation, he developed a lot in Italy. Look at him now. So, not issues to be explained. Arsenal, failed to sign CR7 before he joined Man U. Look what he became?! So, let it rest pal. Nothing untoward on this.
