A Manchester United target found the back of the net for Inter Milan, as they defeated Premier League champions, Chelsea 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Alvaro Morata was handed his first start by Antonio Conte, while fellow new signing Antonio Rudiger started on the bench.
The Blues had a chance to open the scoring after just six minutes when Willian picked out Morata in the box, however the striker failed to beat Padelli from close range.
The tempo of the encounter slowed down as the opening stanza continued, with both sides struggling to carve out chances.
However, Inter were awarded a penalty on the stroke of halftime. Stefan Jovetic saw his spot-kick save but was alert enough to score from the rebound.
The Serie A side doubled their lead in the 53rd minute. Jovetic turned provider to pick out Ivan Perisic, who slotted home from close range.
Chelsea managed to get a goal back in the 72nd minute as Kondogbia's back-pass from 40-yards managed to sail over Pandelli for the own goal.
Antonio Conte threw on the likes of Charly Musonda and Jeremie Boga as they pushed for a winning goal.
Michy Batshuayi thought he had leveled matters for Chelsea in the 88th minute, but the striker's effort was flagged offside.
Nevertheless, the Serie A giants managed to see out the closing stages to hold on for the win.
