Chelsea Urged To Extend Hazard's Stay After Transfer Ban
A former Chelsea star believes it is vital for the Blues to persuade Eden Hazard to sign a new deal following their transfer ban.
The Blues were found guilty of breaching rules about signing minors by FIFA and have been handed a two-year transfer ban.
Hazard, meanwhile, will be come free agent next year unless the club convinces the Belgian forward to sign a new deal.
Former Blues star Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believes it is of utmost importance to extend Hazard's stay at Stamford Bridge.
"Even more so, because they can't replace him, or even get somebody who they can work on to become as good as Hazard," Hasselbaink told Sky Sports News.
"I know they have already bought (Christian) Pulisic [from Borussia Dortmund], but they will need to add more if they lose Hazard.
"It is about Hazard believing in Chelsea - and them persuading him to sign a longer contract and believing in the club."
