Chelsea Star: Sarri Didn't Want Me To Stay

A Chelsea star, who has been a key figure this season, revealed manager Maurizio Sarri did not want him at the club at the start of the campaign.
David Luiz recently put pen-to-paper on a dew deal at Stamford Bridge that will keep him at the club for the next two years.
However, the 31-year-old has now revealed that Sarri at the start of his reign had no desire to keep him.
“We had a conversation in the first week he arrived. He didn't want me to stay and that was normal," Luiz told the Daily Mail.
“I'd been injured for a long period. I was in the last year of my contract.
"I was 31 years old and everyone was saying, ‘No, not David’. Then, after three days he saw me training and said, ‘No, you are going to stay’.”
