Chelsea Boss Talks Up Return Of Blues Legend
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has spoken about the possibility of one the Blues legends returning to the club.
John Terry is a free agent after leaving Aston Villa at the end of the last season, following the club's falure to secure promotion to the Premier League.
The former England international was reportedly set to join Russian outfit Spartak Moscow, but that move broke down.
Sarri, meanwhile, reveals he is open to bringing Terry back to the club as a member of the coaching staff.
“I don’t know now the situation. I’m talking about one week ago. Chelsea is his home, of course,” Sarri said at a press conference, according to FootballItalia.
“He told me another thing. He told me he wants to play. I don’t know. I have to speak to him.
“For sure he will be a point of reference for me, for everybody here [if he returned]. It’s up to him.
“If he wants to play for another season I think it’s right he tries to play. If he wants to help us, I’m very, very happy.”
Terry made 702 appearances for the Blues, winning five Premier Leagues, four FA Cups, three League Cups and a UEFA Champions League title.
