Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng has taken former manager Pep Guardiola's side following Yaya Toure's recent controversial claims about the Spaniard.
De Bruyne Weighs In On Guardiola/Toure Row
In an astonishing interview with France Football earlier this week, the Ivorian suggested that his time with Guardiola at Barcelona paved the way for an uncomfortable two seasons in the Premier League, and also accused the Spaniard of disliking African players.
Boateng, who is part of Germany's 2018 FIFA World Cup squad, has since made it clear he does not agree with the midfielder's opinion of the Citizens manager.
"I cannot share that opinion at all. I have never had a problem with him (Pep Guardiola)," the defender said, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
"On the contrary, I found, as a coach, he was super. And that is why it is hard for me to comprehend."
Pep Refuses To Entertain Yaya's 'African' Claims
The 29-year-old central defender made 118 appearances under Guardiola at Bayern, scoring four goals and assisting a further 11 strikes.
