Aston Villa Appoint Rémi Garde As New Manager

English Premier League outfit Aston Villa have confirmed the appointment of Rémi Garde as their new manager.
The Frenchman has signed a contract that will keep him at Villa until the end of the 2018/19 season.
The former Lyon manager's first game in charge of the Villans will be Sunday's clash against Manchester City at Villa Park.
“It is an unbelievable honour to be the manager of such an illustrious football club,” said Garde.
"I’ve had extremely positive meetings with both the owner, Randy Lerner, and chief executive Tom Fox. They have ambitious plans for the club and I’m excited that they have turned to me to help them realise them."
Garde replaces Tim Sherwood to become Villa's fifth manager in as many years.
