According to Sky Sports News, the London club is said to be interested in luring Zeljko Buvac, Liverpool’s assistant manager, to the Emirates next season.
Arsenal’s head of scouting Sven Mislintat used to work with Buvac at Borussia Dortmund, and is said to be the man behind the club’s pursuit of the Bosnian.
Recent reports from Bosnia claimed Buvac is the man Arsenal want to take the club forward, and the rumours appear amid a surprising announcement from Liverpool, which has now many believing it Arsenal's pursuit could be true.
The Merseyside club recently released a statement saying that Jurgen Klopp’s assistant has left the club until the end of the season due to "personal reasons".
Buvac and Klopp first worked together at Mainz in the Bundesliga, and he is the man the German boss has referred to as "the Brain" and "the best signing he's ever made".
The pair were also partners at Borussia Dortmund from 2008 until 2015, before they joined Liverpool in the Premier League.
Buvac, 56, has only been the front-man at Neukirchen in Germany's fourth tier, where he took over in 1998 – the same year he retired as a player.
