According to the Daily Express, the North London club has set its sights on Hoffenheim coach Julian Nagelsmann, also known as "the baby Mourinho".
The German became the youngest ever manager, at 28 years old, in Bundesliga history when he was appointed Die Kraichgauer's head coach in February 2016.
Nagelsmann, now 30, managed to avoid relegation in his first season in the Hoffenheim hotseat, and was then able to steer the team to fourth place in the league the following year, which saw them qualify for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in their history.
Arsenal's chief scout, Sven Mislintat, is said to be impressed with the young German's resume, and has apparently recommended him to the London side's board of directors.
Mislintat, a former Borussia Dortmund scout, has had many interactions with the 30-year-old in the past, and apparently believes he could be the perfect long-term solution for the Gunners.
Should Arsenal bring in an experienced manager in the coming months, or should they perhaps take a gamble on somebody like Nagelsmann? Have your say in the comments section below.
