Two players are already confirmed to be leaving the Gunners ahead of the new campaign, with veteran goalkeeper Petr Cech officially throwing in the towel on what has been a phenomenal and record-breaking career, and Aaron Ramsey leaving on free transfer to join Juventus.

Unai Emery will be desperate to rebuild and revamp his current side, which could start with playmaker Mesut Ozil leaving. The No. 10 has not played a starring role in the team since Emery came in last year, despite being the club’s highest-paid player.

Watch Casillas on Zidane

Fans have voiced their displeasure with the German’s performance in Arsenal’s 4-1 to the Europa League final on Wednesday, with many believing it is time he moved on.

Last month, the Daily Express reported that defender Shkodran Mustafi was linked with a surprise switch to Crystal Palace. The 27-year-old has been criticised heavily for most parts of the 2018/19 campaign, in which he made many defensive errors that led to goals.

One or two more players could find themselves heading for the exit door at Arsenal, but who can supporters expect the London club to target?

To strengthen in defender, Emery is believed to be after FC Barcelona’s 2018 FIFA World Cup winning defender Samuel Umtiti. The centre-back struggled with his fitness in this past campaign, and is reportedly someone the Catalan club are willing to sell.

Young RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano is also believed to be on their shortlist, while going forward, Ajax Amsterdam’s Hakim Ziyech and Lille’s Nicolas Pepe are reportedly options – to see all the players who could be leaving and joining Arsenal, click through the gallery above.
