With one of the most prominent figures in the Arsenal dressing room reportedly having refused to travel with the team for their pre-season tour, the London club has now released a statement.
Veteran centre-back Laurent Koscielny will not be with the rest of his teammates as they head off to the US for Arsenal's pre-season tour – the defender has refused to travel with the squad, according to the Gunners' official website.
"We are very disappointed by Laurent's actions, which are against our clear instructions," a statement on the club's official statement read.
"We hope to resolve this matter and will not be providing any further comment at this time."
It is believed the 33-year-old is trying to force a move away from Arsenal, with clubs such as Stade Rennes, Olympique Lyon and Bordeaux all chasing his signature.
The defender joined the Londoners in 2010, and has since played 353 times for the club.
