According to the Mirror, the Gunners are closing in on a move for PSG full-back Layvin Kurzawa, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
The Gunners could get the French defender on a bargain or PSG will risk losing the player for free when his contract expires on 30 June 2020.
To make matters more postive for Arsenal, Kurzawa has announced he switch agents and moved to London-based agency Sports Invest UK.
The company is headed up by agent Kia Joorabchian, who reportedly has a good relationship with the Gunners and the club's technical director Edu.
Arteta is reportedly looking to bolster the full-back position as off-season signing Keiran Teirny will be on the sidelines for a lengthy period.
