On Tuesday evening, Pep Guardiola was announced as the Barclays Manager of the Season, winning the award for a second year running after leading Manchester City to back-to-back Premier League titles.
"It's an honour to receive this award," Guardiola said, as quoted by PremierLeague.com.
"I want to share it with my players because they are the artists of everything, to my staff because we fought a lot against all the managers in the Premier League, especially Jurgen Klopp, an incredible contender to face till the end.
"It was a pleasure to play against all of them and hopefully do big, big battles again to win an incredible title."
The 48-year-old beat fellow nominees Nuno Espirito Santo, Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino to the accolade, which is based on votes from the public and a panel of football experts.
While Guardiola was named Manager of the Season, Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk had already been named the official Player of the Season. The Dutchman, who also claimed the PFA Players' Player of the Year award, became the first defender to win the accolade since Vincent Kompany lifted it in the 2011/12 campaign.
His teammate Alisson won the 2018/19 Golden Glove after keeping 21 clean sheets in 2018/19, while Reds duo Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane shared the Golden Boot with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Chelsea's Eden Hazard was named the Playmaker of the Season, following in the footsteps of his national teammate Kevin De Bruyne, while Raheem Sterling won the FWA Footballer of the Year award.
