A Premier League manager has told his in-demand African superstar, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Liverpool, that he will only be allowed to leave his club at the end of the season.

Report: Liverpool Identify African Star As Coutinho Replacement

Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez, who has been tipped for a transfer in this window, is rumoured to be valued at about £50 million (R838 million) by his club.

However, Foxes boss Claude Puel has insisted he will not allow the Algerian star to leave this month, and that he has told the 26-year-old to ignore all the talk surrounding his future.

"I think it is essential he keeps this focus and concentration until the end of the season," the French tactician said, according to ESPN.

"I am happy with him, and I think he is enjoying his football. He is glad to play with this team.

"We are trying to develop good play on the floor, and he likes this. He has good results with assists and goals in recent games."

Mahrez has made 24 appearances for Leicester so far this season, scoring eight goals and assisting a further eight strikes.

Do you think Mahrez should push for a move, or should he wait it out a few more months? Have your say in the comments section below.
