Goals have been hard to come by for the Blues this season as the likes of Alvaro Morata and Michy Batshuayi have struggled to find the back of the net on a consistent basis.
Manager Antonio Conte raised these concerns with the media last weekend, and suggested he may need up to three new frontmen before his side can challenge for trophies again.
"If you see our squad, we don't have three, four or five strikers, we have two," the Italian said, as quoted by the Daily Express.
"Morata is out, or sometimes I play with (Eden) Hazard. He is a different striker, but sometimes I play in this way. The striker has to work for the team in the best way, he has improved a lot in this way.
"I don't know what will happen (with Batshuayi), but when you have to play in the Champions League and FA Cup, three strikers is the minimum. Then we have to see what will happen in the transfer market. We are talking about another player, I don't know if we can."
The Daily Express has linked the likes Andy Carroll, Peter Crouch and Ashely Barnes with the London club in this window, but they are not the only ones.
