There are rumours that the former Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona tactician is looking to move a few of his ageing players on, either on loan or permanently, in order to free up a few places in his squad.
According to Manchester Evening News, Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Toure is set to move on to greener pastures next season. The City stalwart, who is in the last six months of his current contract, has had minimal game time under Guardiola this season, and has been linked with clubs in China and Turkey.
The Daily Mirror believes West Ham United loanee Joe Hart is unlikely to ever play for the Etihad side again, although he is still on the Manchester club's books. Two seasons ago, the shot-stopper saw himself fall down the pecking order at the Citizens, and was replaced by Claudio Bravo, who is also linked with an exit from the Premier League champions. The England goalkeeper has been sent out on loan for two seasons already, and is not deemed good enough by Guardiola.
Fernandinho and Sergio Aguero are still very much considered first team regulars at the club, but because of their advanced ages, they could make way for a few younger faces in the coming months. As a result, the Daily Mail has linked the Citizens with the likes of Thiago Alcantara, Fred and Kylian Mbappe.
Other players who have also reportedly been linked with exits from City are Fabian Delph, Claudio Bravo, Eliaquim Mangala and Jason Denayer.
