Last week, it was confirmed that the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund, in partnership with PCP Capital Partners and the Rueben Brothers, had completed their takeover of the Magpies following Mike Ashley's 14-year reign as owner.

This is likely to lead to big-name players being brought in by those set to be appointed in crucial roles such as director of football and the future first-team manager, with current boss Steve Bruce reportedly close to being relieved of his duties amid the team's poor form.

Newcastle have failed to win a single game in seven attempts in the Premier League this season, having drawn three times and lost on four occasions.

The likes of Philippe Coutinho and Jesse Lingard have been linked with the Toon since the new owners came in, but 13 new names have appeared on the club's list of potential targets ahead of the January window.

Here are the 10 richest club owners in the Premier League following Newcastle's takeover:

Germany international Timo Werner, whose time at Chelsea has been marred by underwhelming performances and missed chances, is reportedly being looked at. He shares an agent with Newcastle centre-back Fabian Schar, and it is said that there has already been contact between the representative and the club's board.

According to the Daily Express, the Magpies are also interested in 28-year-old Burnley defender James Tarkowski, whose contract is set to expire in 2022. The Englishman has reportedly turned down several extension offers.

The Daily Mail has suggested that Paris Saint-Germain forward Mauro Icardi has been shortlisted, while England midfielders Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice could also be targeted over the coming months, with Transfermarkt valuing both players at €70 million (R1.1 billion).

10 Bosses Linked With Newcastle Job After Takeover

It was reported on Thursday, meanwhile, that Real Betis playmaker Nabil Fekir has emerged on Newcastle's radar, as have Chelsea duo Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, both of whom are not expected to become important first-team players under Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge.
