England goalkeeper Jack Butland could be close to joining Chelsea from relegated Stoke City, with Sky Sports reporting that the Blues could move for the 25-year-old if Thibaut Courtois leaves for Real Madrid, which is becoming increasingly likely.
Brazilian winger Bernard, who is a free agent and last played for Shakhtar Donetsk, could be close to signing for Marco Silva's Everton or Chelsea, while FC Barcelona centre-back Yerry Mina might also be on his way to the Toffees.
United supporters are expecting at least one more signing before the window closes on Thursday at 18:00 SA time, although uncertainty remains as to who that could be.
