On Tuesday afternoon, the Premier League leaders confirmed they had reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for the acquisition of the Norway international.
Haaland, 21, is believed to have agreed to a five-year deal with the club his father, Alf-Inge, represented between 2000 and 2003, and will reportedly earn £400 000 (R7.9 million) a week at the Etihad.
This is according to the Daily Mirror, who have claimed that City informed Dortmund they would be triggering his €75 million (R1.2 billion) release clause earlier this week.
That figure would see Haaland join playmaker Kevin De Bruyne as the highest-paid players at the Citizens, with the Belgium midfielder currently among the top earners in England.
Three Lions internationals Jack Grealish, Raheem Sterling and John Stones follow De Bruyne and Haaland in the standing, while Fernandinho has moved a place down to sixth spot.
