The Spaniard has already cut the likes of Joe Hart and Yaya Toure, among others, from his preferred Manchester City starting XI, a policy he used at FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
He does not seem to be afraid of upsetting clubs' faithfuls by not only dropping stars such as Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto'o, but selling them too.
The Brazilian wizard, for example, features in this gallery because he was a fan favourite at the Camp Nou, but did not play a single minute under the Spaniard before being sold to AC Milan.
Deco and Italian defender Gianluca Zambrotta followed similar paths in Guardiola's first transfer window, while Eto'o only survived another season with Barcelona. Zlatan Ibrahimovic also left the Catalan giants after just one campaign under the Spanish boss.
At Bayern Munich, the likes of Mario Gomez, Luiz Gustavo and Bastian Schweinsteiger were sold during Pep's reign.
