There are two Manchester United players in the list, in the form of Ashley Young and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who both appear to be highly valued by manager Jose Mourinho.

Young, who has been deployed at left back on many occasions this season, is enjoying great form at the moment, while the towering Swede only recently returned from a long-term injury, but the pair could agree pre-contracts with other clubs in January if they do not sign extensions – and the same can be said for all the players on this list..

Two Manchester City midfielders also feature in this list of experienced stars whose deals expire at the end of the campaign – Fernandinho and African midfielder Yaya Toure.

Bayern Munich duo Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben are also among the veterans in the list, as is Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla.
