10 Highest Paid Defenders In The Premier League

Having looked at the highest paid strikers and midfielders in the Premier League, here are 10 of the league's highest earning defenders!

Manchester United's Romelu Lukaku is said to be the highest paid striker in England's top flight, taking home £250 000 (R4.2 million) a week, according to reports.

His teammate Paul Pogba is reportedly the league's highest earning midfielder on £290 000 (R5.2 million) a week, but today our focus is on defenders.

Total Sportek have claimed there are six defenders in the Premier League on £100 000 (R1.81 million) a week.

Manchester City's Kyle Walker and John Stones are said to be on this weekly wage, as well as Manchester United's Antonio Valencia, Chelsea's Cesar Azpilicueta and Gary Cahill, and Arsenal right back Hector Bellerin.

New Gunners signing Sead Kolasinac, who was rated as the best left back in the Bundesliga last season, is said to be on £119 500 (R2.16 million) a week at the London cub.

The highest earning defenders in the English top flight are Chelsea's David Luiz and City duo Nicolas Otamendi and Vincent Kompany, who are all said to be on £120 000 (R2.17 million) a week at their respective clubs.
