Brendan Rodgers' side ran riot over the Saints on Friday night, when they scored nine unanswered goals to record the Premier League's most one-sided away win ever.
Leicester's result was also the joint-biggest win by any side in the competition, matching Manchester United's nine-goal triumph over Ipswich Town at Old Trafford back in 1995, according to FourFourTwo.
Tottenham Hotspur netted nine goals in a single game in 2009 when they beat Wigan Athletic 9-1, with former England international Jermain Defoe netting an incredible five goals on the day.
Wigan were on the receiving end of an 8-0 humiliation just a year later against Chelsea, which is the joint-fourth biggest defeat in the competition, alongside the Blues' win over Aston Villa in 2012, Newcastle United's hammering of Sheffield Wednesday in 1999 and Manchester City's trouncing of Watford earlier this year.
City's win over the Hornets also marked a remarkable turnaround for the club, who were on the receiving end of the joint-eighth biggest defeat in the Premier League just over a decade ago when they lost 8-1 to Middlesbrough.
