Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has warned his teammates about the quality of the Premier League's latest African star, who happens to be one of his countrymen.
In an interview with The Athletic, the Senegal international was asked about the arrival of Ismaila Sarr at Watford, and what his compatriot would bring to league.
Sarr joined the Hornets for a club record fee of £30 million (R558 million) ahead of the 2019/20 Premier League season, and Mane has admitted that he has already warned his Liverpool teammates about the 21-year-old.
"He's rapid. I think defenders will struggle," Mane said.
"Last time I was speaking to (Andy Robertson), I said 'Watford have a really good player. I will need to help you more otherwise Ismaila Sarr will kill you, because he is a good dribbler and very, very fast.'"
Mane was also asked how he felt about seeing his compatriot in the jersey of one of Liverpool's Premier League rivals.
"Wow, a bit jealous, because I won't see him in Liverpool," he added lightheartedly.
"I'm really happy for him and he made the right choice to come to Watford. For sure, I think he will be great."
Sarr joined Watford from Ligue 1 side Rennes, for whom he scored 18 goals in 77 appearances during his two-year stay with the club.
