On Monday, LaLiga side Athletic Bilbao announced, via their official website, that one of their star players had agreed to a new long-term contract with the club.
Forward Inaki Williams put pen to paper on a massive nine-year deal with Athletic, which will extend his time at the club until 2028, when he'll be 34 years old.
"I'm very happy. It is a pride for me to continue to be tied to this great club that has given me everything. I've always said that I'm where I want to be, I'm very happy in Bilbao," he told the club's official website.
"I'm very happy in Athletic Club, and I just have to show it with work, effort and, above all, trying to help the team with goals.
"The club has always bet on me, it has given me everything, I feel it is my home. I only have words of gratitude. Obviously, I could only make this official renewal giving back to the club that effort it has done for me."
The new deal also sees the Spanish international's release clause rise to €135 million (R2.3 billion), but Williams is adamant he wishes to stay at his boyhood club for the foreseeable future.
"This, as you can see, is my house, and all I want, I have it here," he added.
He is the second player to sign a long-term contract with Bilbao in recent months, after Yeray Alvarez signed a seven-year extension with the club in July.

Williams began his career in Bilbao and has scored 49 goals in 204 appearances for the club since making his senior debut in 2014.
