A former Manchester United defender believes the club's new world-record signing can emulate the success of a current Liverpool star.
Last week, the Red Devils completed the signing of Harry Maguire for a world-record fee for a defender of £80 million (R1.4 billion) from Leicester City.

The England international's transfer fee broke the record previously set by Liverpool in 2018, when the Reds paid £75 million (R1.3 billion) to sign Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk from Southampton.
The Netherlands centre-back went on to win the Premier League Player of the Year award last season, and played an integral role in the club winning the 2018/19 Uefa Champions League title.
Former United defender Jonny Evans believes that Maguire can emulate the Dutchman's success and help the Red Devils return to their former glory.
"You can see comparisons in their games," Evans said, as per Sky Sports.
"Both are great on the ball, and Harry has got explosive pace people don't see. He is powerful and good in the air.
"Everyone will compare the transfer fees but it's so difficult to judge transfer fees nowadays. We are all human and it is weird we get traded for money.
"In the transfer market it's all supply and demand, and things can go up and down at any moment. The most important thing is for him to be judged on how he plays."
Maguire made his debut for United against Chelsea on Sunday, and helped his side record a comprehensive 4-0 win over the Blues.
