With Manchester United flop Alexis Sanchez said to be closing in on a move to Inter Milan, details of his contract with the Italian club have now reportedly been revealed.
Since his arrival at the Red Devils last year, the 30-year-old has struggled to stamp his authority and command a place in the team's strongest XI.
It now appears that he could be shipped out to Inter on loan, with United keen to offload the former FC Barcelona star before the end of the European window.
The difficultly, however, lies in Sanchez's high wages – he is currently the highest-paid player at the 20-time English champions.
The ex-Arsenal man is believed to be on £400 000 (R7.4 million) a week in England, but Inter are unwilling to pay the full percentage of his earnings, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Nerazzurri would reportedly pay half of what he gets paid at United, but if he impresses on loan, it is understood that Inter would be willing to make his move permanent for £14 million (R260 million) next season.
Sanchez has played 45 matches for United since his arrival at Old Trafford in January 2018, but has scored just five goals for the club.
