According to reports, Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski took a phone call in the team's dressing room discussing his potential Barcelona move in front of his teammates.
The Polish forward made it known that he will not be extending his contract with the Bavarian giants after their final game of the Bundesliga season, a 2-2 draw against Wolfsburg at the Volkswagen Arena.
Speaking to Sky Germany after the game, the former Borussia Dortmund striker said: "I can confirm that I spoke to Hasan (Salihamidzic, Bayern's sporting director) and informed him that the decision was made - and that I am not extending my contract with FC Bayern.
"Both sides have to think about the future. It's best if we find the best solution for both sides. I said to (Salihamidzic) that if an offer comes, then we have to think about it - also for the club.
"Both sides have to think about the future. That's all I can say. I still have a year's contract. But I said that we have to find the best solution for both sides. We'll have to wait and see what happens."
It was reported earlier in the week that the Poland national team captain wants to join Barcelona after spending 12 prolific years in the German top flight.
With the 33-year-old entering the final 12 months of his deal at the Allianz Arena, he is eager to challenge himself in a different league and, as per SportBild reporter Christian Falk, Lewandowski was overheard speaking Polish on a phone call in the changing room regarding the Catalan giants.
The same report suggests that, even though they were unable to interpret whether or not Barca was the topic of discussion, the five-time UEFA Champions League winners were mentioned a couple of times during the call.
