Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are reportedly set to hire one of their former managers until the end of the season.
The Bavarian club sacked Italian Carlo Ancelotti last week following their 3-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League.
According to German publication Bild, Bayern are now set to appoint Jupp Heynckes as their manager until the end of the current campaign.
The 72-year-old retired from management back in 2013 after winning the treble with the Bavarians in his second spell in charge of the club.
Reports coming out of Germany suggest that Heynckes is tempted to come out of retirement and coach Bayern until they find a suitable long-term replacement for Ancelotti.
Former FC Barcelona boss Luis Enrique was recently linked with the vacant position, along with Thomas Tuchel, Julian Nagelsmann and Louis van Gaal.
