Reports: Bayern Munich Could Sack Carlo Ancelotti Today
Bayern Munich are reportedly considering sacking three-time UEFA Champions League-winning coach Carlo Ancelotti after their damaging defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
The Italian has received massive criticism in Germany for mixing up the starting line-up against PSG, leaving experienced players such as Mats Hummels, Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery on the bench.
According to Sport Bild, Bayern's bosses will hold crisis talks on Thursday to discuss Ancelotti's future.
Bayern lost 3-0 to PSG in midweek, and are currently third in the Bundesliga after losing one and drawing one of their first six matches of the campaign.
Sport Bild suggested that Ancelotti's assistant Willy Sagnol would take over from the 58-year-old if the Italian tactician is indeed sacked at this early stage of the season.
The former Real Madrid manager took over from Pep Guardiola at the beginning of the 2016/17 campaign, but has come under fire at Bayern after winning just the Bundesliga title and the German Super Cup in his first season at the club.
He added another Super Cup triumph against Borussia Dortmund at the beginning of the current campaign, but the Bavarians' bosses are reportedly considering replacing him with Thomas Tuchel, who is currently without a job.
