Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola has responded to the jibes coming from Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s camp, saying he knows that some players talk badly about him.
Guardiola and Ibrahimovic had reportedly fallen out during their time at FC Barcelona, which was the reason why the Swede left the club after just one season.
Samuel Eto’o, as well as Mario Mandzukic, are other players who are not fond of the Spaniard.
"For a coach it is easier with players who play all the time," Guardiola said in his pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Cologne.
"But that's not possible with us. The players make the difference themselves and when they're feeling better, they're playing better.
“Many of those I worked with talk badly about me now.
“I think I always did my best."
Guardiola won 16 trophies in just four seasons with the first team at Camp Nou, but players such Ibrahimovic and Eto’o left the Catalan giants frustrated.
The Spaniard has since taken over at Bayern and is on track to lead them to a second successive Bundesliga title.
