City have been quiet in the transfer window by their own standards, with the only notable arrivals being that of Rodrigo from Atletico Madrid and Angelino from PSV Eindhoven.
The reigning Premier League champions could lose one of their star players, however, amid constant speculation linking him with a move to Germany.
Bayern Munich's pursuit of Leroy Sane has been well publicised in recent weeks, and various reports indicated that a deal had been completed, although the German club later took to Twitter to dismiss the news.
The rumours have not gone away, however, and City have now reportedly responded by setting a massive asking price for the pacey winger.

According to Manchester Evening News, the Citizens have slapped a mammoth €150 million (R2.4 billion) price tag on Sane's head in an attempt to bring the transfer saga to an end.
Should Bayern match that figure, the 23-year-old would become the second-most expensive player of all time, with only PSG's €222 million (R3.5 billion) signing of Neymar costing more when looking at fees excluding add-ons.
